On November 2nd, Orem Firefighter Michael Stentzel became unresponsive during a semi-annual fitness test. After being taken to Timpanogos Regional it was determined that he had suffered an intracranial hemorrhagic stroke. After being transferred, he was operated on at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center to stop the progress of the injury. Mike has been under continuous care in the ICU at the center, slowly emerging from his coma. His pregnant wife, Kelsae, sits by his side throughout the day, patiently exercising his hands and arms. Seemingly endless visits and prayers from friends and family continue to provide a positive role in his progress. His long term prognosis is presently unknown, but all are hopeful. Since there is not a written future for Mike his firefighter brothers want to give him the help that he does and will continue to need - step by step. There is a donation fund at Zions Bank under the name of Michael Stentzel to help him and his family through these trying times. Or you may donate to the fund via paypal or credit card using the link on the right.
